When I begin, it is without thought. I hear sounds that might accompany certain moments, certain images. Others are more quiet, contemplative sequences that speak in silence. I see the whole motion picture, and all the little and big scenes sewn together, each one with a purpose within the whole. This process of sonic and visual sculpture is how I shape stories, and it is my craft.
